LAB SAFETY POSTER ASSIGNMENT

We have read about and discussed lab safety, looked at lab equipment, and looked at hazardous product symbols. After examining each of these items, we have come up with lab safety rules that each of us must follow when in the lab.

Your assignment is to design a poster to demonstrate your understanding of these rules.

Your poster must: have 2 components:

One half should show a lab safety rule and the second half should show one WHMIS symbol and its meaning (randomly chosen from the envelope).

As well, give at least 3 examples where you would see the symbol in real life.

• be colored
• be neat
• must be professional looking (these will be posted on the wall in the class)
